Happy Thanksgiving & Roll Tide

Happy Thanksgiving

We hope all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving day tomorrow. Enjoy time with family and friends and all the yummy food! I cant wait to eat some of my MawMaw's dressing, it is the B.E.S.T

This November we started a new tradition... a thankful paper chain... most every night we each had to share something we were thankful for and write on a little slip of paper. I dated each day and plan on saving this for us to look back on in the years to come!! (thanks Joy for the idea from your thankful tree)

I was very proud of some of the things Sam thought of on his own that he was thankful for as you can see a few of them here....

It was a great thing for each of us to do to make us really think about all that we have to be thankful for! I am so Thankful for all of my MANY Blessings!!

Another yearly tradition is of course we have to watch A Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving tonight!!

Friday I am looking forward to shopping EaRlY in the morning and hopefully finding some great bargains and then watching the Iron Bowl...

Roll Tide Roll!!

Very Random.... what have we been up to?

It has been a while since a post but we have been busy busy around here. Basketball, getting ready for Thanksgiving, a little photography/editing, and just enjoying family time!!

I will start off by sharing a few of our new family pics that I took, yes you read that right, I took them. It all started by a friend asking me if I would take a few pics of her and family up on monte sano in hopes of getting a good one for christmas cards. They turned out so good that I decided we would give it a try as well only I would be taking them and in the pictures as well =)
Set up the tripod, focusing in on Chad and Sam, set the timer, run over and get in the picture....
It was pretty funny, Im just glad there wasnt hardly anyone else up there because I know they would have gotten a kick out of it to say the least! Anyways, thought they turned out pretty good. I love photography and had a great time editing and playing around with these. I have had several people asking me if I would take some of their family so I dont know where this may lead but we shall see. Let me know what you think about our pics!!

Had fun making these cute little turkey cookies for Sam's class last week for Thanksgiving!!

Meridianville Eagles had their first basketball game this weekend and it was SO much fun to watch!! It is most of the kids first season so some are still catching on . We actually won 36-5! Way to go!! Sam scored one goal and I was a proud Moma!! He did a great job dribbling the ball down the court and played great defense!! Looking forward to the rest of the season!! You may notice in the pics Sam has on athletic pants instead of his shorts.... leave it to my child to spill gatorade not to long after the game started all over himself!! It was OK, thankful we had the pants to put on!! Ahh.... fun times and what great memories =)

yea... im guarding ya!
hated this was blurry, but this was after he scored, it was priceless!
Way to go Eagles!!
Have also been trying to do a little Christmas decorating around here, my tree is up with lights on but not decorated yet... im gettin there!! Also started shopping this week to =) I am so looking forward to Thanksgiving this week and spending time with family!! I am so very thankful for all my family and friends, I am so BLESSED! Hope you all have a great week!

My name is Tom Turkey and Im afraid as can be....

My name is Tom Turkey and I'm afraid as can be
I'm wearing my disguise so you wont catch me

This was a family project that Sam had to do for school. Tom the turkey had to be disguised as a different animal or character in hopes of avoiding being caught for Thanksgiving Day dinner!
Sam first wanted to make his Tom Turkey a football player, then he changed to a army man, and finally decided on a clown.
I think it turned out pretty cute!!
You can tell in the first picture what the turkey looked like before and then in the last picture after he was disguised.

A little excitement.....

Last night at bath time we had some excitement. Sam has been waiting and waiting to have a loose tooth. Well when we were brushing his teeth, I noticed that something about his bottom front teeth looked different, like more space between them. So I checked and sure enough it was wigglin!! He was so excited to say the least. But then the questions came.... is it gonna hurt?! is it gonna bleed?! I just played all of that stuff down cause I didnt want him worrying about it! Is the tooth fairy gonna come?! was the most important question he had!! He says we cant pull it, we'll just have to let it fall out... cant wait to see how thats gonna go!
I might just have a snaggled tooth little boy for Christmas this year =)
Very Bittersweet to me, It makes me excited but sad to say the least. Time is just going oh so FAST!

These things I plan won't happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, wait patiently for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.
