He walked me down the aisle when I got married. That was so special to me!
Today I have my PawPaw on my mind, he passed away 1 year ago this past July! I still miss him like he just passed away today! He was my rock! I know that he is in a much much better place now and that is so reassuring to me that I will get to see him again someday! When I was little he used to sing "You are my sunshine" to me and now I sing it to Sam! So thats why that song is first on my playlist. It so hard to see my MawMaw struggle each and every day without her love of her life, I can only imagine what it must feel like to her after being together for 64 years!
There are just so many happy memories with my grandparents, and this time of the year is especially hard, Sam still talks about PawPaw but I wish he would be able to share all those special times with PawPaw that I had. It just feels good sometimes to express what your feeling
and I hope he knows how much I miss him!!!!!!! I love you Paw Paw you are still my sunshine!

You are my sunshine is one of my favorite songs. We have always sung it to our children and now our grandchildren. We sang it to Merr ( Laura's grandmother) when she was sick and dying so I often think of her when I hear that and sometimes it makes me cry, but more often it makes me smiles to remember the good times with her. Praying you remember all the good times with your PawPaw. What a blessing to be so close to them and what a blessing it will be for Sam to have that with your mom and her husband. Grandparents are the staff of life.
I sang it to Paw Paw when he was sick and dying as well, I even had one of those little flowers that dances and sings you are my sunshine that I would play for him in the hospital and a tear would just run down his cheek. That song just means so much! Thanks for your prayers memaw barbie!
