Please say a prayer for a blogger friend

Just wanted everyone tonight or tomorrow when you read this if you could, to just say a prayer for a sweet blogger friend Amy George http://amysbabyblog.blogspot.com/. If you can even take the time to read her most recent post titled " Just for us". Tomorrow is her daughters birthday, one who is here on earth with her and one who is in heaven with Jesus and also the anniversary of the death of her daughter who is in heaven. You most likely already know her story and if not you can read it on her blog. I just wanted to ask everyone to say a prayer for her and her family and maybe even leave her an uplifting comment.
Amy is one of the sweetest most inspirational people that I have ever met and I pray that God will allow them to have a joyful day tomorrow and just comfort them during this time of happiness and sadness :)

I too know that I can BELIEVE HIM

I was reading a blog today that I have been following for a while. I just know that God has put me in touch with so many of you blogger friends out there for a very great reason. On the days that I may be struggling the most with our "infertility battle" then I will read something on a blog wether it be a post on someone elses blog or a comment some of you have left me and it can turn my whole day around. Well thats how it was when I read this:

" I felt confirmation this morning and heard Him telling me, "Deidre, don't you EVER doubt what I CAN do and I will never need another person's help to accomplish it! You can BELIEVE me!" I hope you dont mind me copying that over to my post.

You see putting my complete trust and faith in God has been and still is one the hardest things I have ever had to do. I still find myself questioning why Chad and I just cant get pregnant again. Should I or shouldnt I be going to the fertility drs. So So many questions. Then I read those words.... "Dont ever doubt what I can do and I will never need another persons help to accomplish it" WOW..... what else can I say?!?!?!



All I can say right now is God is so AWESOME, he is always there no matter what your struggle, and I know that I too can believe him. I must never ever doubt what he can do!!!

Thankful Thursday...... Fun Day With Friends

Today I am thankful to blessed with such great friends. Today Sam and I met some friends of ours Paige and Emma at Kids Space to play and then lunch at Chic-Fil-a. We had lots of catching up to do because we dont see each other near as much as we used to. Sam and Emma have been playmates since they were born. Sam is 2 weeks older than Emma. When they were little we got together 2-3 times a week. Now that we moved back to Meridianville and they live in Monrovia we dont see each other quite as often! Emma is Sam's first friend and he loves her! He can be rough and tough with all his buddies but when he's with Em, they are just too sweet :) Emma's mom Paige and I are the same way, we can not see each other for a while and then when we do just pick right up where we left off! Love you two girls! Had fun today :)

We had a great Memorial day weekend and hope all of you did as well! Today Sam and I slep in late and have just been hanging out at home all day. Lately we've been making summer plans... to the beach in July and hopefully a trip to Atlanta to see a Braves game. Of course we will be swimming and having some play dates with friends! What are you and your family planning for the summer???

Last day of Pre-K

Sam's last day of pre-k is now here. I've been talking about it for awhile and now I guess I really officially do have a Kindergartner. I am so proud of all that he has learned this year. When he started he had NO interest at all in writing,drawing,coloring etc........ Now he can write all of his letters so good, knows all the sounds, and can recognize all of them as well. He's doing pretty darn good reading 3 and 4 letter words too. Loves to draw and color now. He learned so many bible verses and stories of the bible this year and I pray the God will just hide them in his little heart and he will always have them there! Every time I talked to his teacher Mrs. Tomica she always bragged on him so much and always reassured me that he was so ready for K and was going to do great! Best Beginnings was great and he had great Christian teachers who loved and cared for him and that made me feel so comfortable! He has enjoyed this school year so much and was such a little social butterfly. I think since their aren't any siblings at home or any other small children in our family for that matter it makes him love his time at school with other kids even more. He has made such great buddies this year and is having a hard time understanding why he wont be seeing them anymore. I promised that we will try to stay in touch with his best buddies this summer and he will do fine making new friends in K next year at Bethlehem Christian Academy.

We love you Sam and are so very proud of the big boy you are becoming. But you will always be my little baby! Last night you told me at bedtime that "even when you get to be a big boy you're still gonna be my baby"...... I promise I will remind you of that someday!

Our weekend and some other random thoughts....

A busy weekend for sure... full of 2 t-ball games, both of which our little Meridianville Diamonbacks won, birthday parties, and church. Sam is so proud of his self and his team mates for winning both games this weekend. I have to say Chad and I are enjoying it I think as much as Sam is!! Its just so much fun to see Sam learning to play ball and being so serious about it and they are just too cute in those little uniforms!! We have this week pretty much off from t-ball, just practice, no games this weekend I guess due to Memorial day weekend.

Saturday one of Sams buddies from church and school had a birthday party at Southerlands train store. There was a clown, magic tricks, and lots of fun for the kids. Sam really enjoyed it! Just a trip to the train store makes Sams day, he loves that store. If you've never been you should check it out. Its a great toy store, you can always find cute things there and not just the ordianary toys from wal-mart or toys r us. Here are a few pics of Sam with his buddies.

Today started the last week for Sam to go to pre-k. His last day is Thurs. Its really making me sad..... Im definitely SO excited that summer is here and we are gonna have so much fun. But just to know that my little sweet Sam will be a Kindergartner....... its breaking my heart!!! New school, new friends, new teacher. I know this all part of it and I will make it but still it is sad! What if we dont have anymore children this may be a first but also a last. I just want time to slow down... its just going by too fast! Here are a few older pics of Sam, I sure wish he was still this little!

My Happy Mothers Day

Well Im a little late sharing my Mothers Day with you but our DSL modem has been down and we just got a new one last night. Its amazing how much you miss when you dont check your computer for a few days, emails and blogs.... I had alot of reading to catch up on!
Hope everyone had a great Mothers day, I know I sure did! Chad and Sam did great! They took me out to lunch Sat. since we knew Sunday we would be busy all day with all of our family. When we sat down to eat Chad said come on Sam lets go wash our hands and when they came back to the table they had beautiful pink roses for me and Sam said "Happy Mothers Day Mom". I was surprised :) How sweet......
Sunday they surprised me with a gift certificate to the spa at the Westin at Bridge Street for a 50 minute massage, manicure, and pedicure. Since we didnt really ever get to celebrate my birthday or anniversary a few weeks ago I think Chad made up for it on Mothers Day. I know I cant wait for that massage!! Thank you Chad and Sam, I love you!
Then we went to church and then to my MawMaw's for lunch, all of our family was there. It was a great Mothers day with my mom & mawmaw whom I am so thankful for . There was the yummiest cake ever that I will have to share the recipe later... it was a Hershey bar cake and I think it has to be one of the best cakes I've ever eaten! Later that afternoon we went to Chads moms for a while and that finished up our Mothers Day celebration.I am so thankful that I get to be a Mother to the sweetest little boy ever! There is nothing better!

Sam's end of the year pre-K program at Best Beginnings

Tonight was finally the night Sam has been waiting for. He and his classmates have been practicing for about 6 weeks every day at school and tonight he finally got to show us all the songs he had learned. He usually still takes a nap but today he layed there and layed there and finally he said "mom I just cant sleep, Im too excited about tonight". I thought, this is really a big deal to him, I mean of course it is too me, but to him, he just was so proud of his self tonight. All of the kids were, it was so cute. The title of the program was "Preschools Greatest Hits" Some of the songs they sang were......Sing,Shout,Praise; Tootie Ta(which was just too cute); Whose side are you leaning on; My mother is a baker; Hokey Pokey;
Happy all the time; You've got a friend in me..... they worked really hard and did such a great job! After their songs they were awarded with their certificates. Uh-oh this officially means we have a kindergartner:( Next everyone gathered in the fellowship hall for cake and ice cream. Sam had such a great time, did such a great job, and we are so proud of him. Great Memories were made tonight and I know this is just the beginning!!

On another note seriously is it ever gonna stop raining???? We are never gonna get another t-ball game in it seems!! But after the rain stops we'll be thankful for all the green grass, trees, and beautiful flowers!

My mom and grandmother with Sam. In the car today out of the blue Sam told me PawPaw would be watching from heaven tonight.... that stopped me in my tracks when he said that. Im so glad he always thinks and remembers PawPaw, we sure wish he could've been there tonight.
