The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. ~Philippians 4:4-9

tryin to catch up.....

It has been quite some time since I have posted. I was without my computer for around a week due to a virus that we couldnt remove and have been trying to play catch up since getting it back on Tuesday. We have been busy busy around here, I know thats why it makes the holidays seem to go by so fast and wish that we could just slow down and enjoy it all for a little longer. I guess that is just the way it goes!! Between basketball and all of the holiday hustle and bustle....

I love love Christmas, it is my FAVORITE!! I love hearing Sam talk about baby Jesus and telling me the Christmas story!! We have been reading a book called What God wants for Christmas this week, for 7 days you read a short story about each person in the nativity scene and after the story there is a box to open. Day 1 was angel gabriel, day 2 was Mary, Day 3 was Joseph, Day 4 baby Jesus, and tonight Day 5 was the sheperd, Day 6 tomorrow will be the wise men and the last day 7 will be what God wants for Christmas and when you open the box there is a little mirror inside so that you see yourself.... What God wants for Christmas is YOU!! Sam has been so excited every night to add to his own little nativity scene and to see what is next. Its a great little tradition that we started last year.

Today was Sams school Christmas party. I had a great time making these little Santa cookies for his class and enjoyed being at school with him and seeing all of his Christmas crafts he's been making.

Tonight we made more Christmas cookies at home and Sam LOVED IT!! He had a great time making the reindeer cookies and I have to say I had a great time doing it with him!

Hope everyone is enjoying their last week before Christmas is actually here.... getting all the shopping done, getting prepared for all the family get togethers and meals.... but dont forget the true reason for the season. Thank you God for your precious son Jesus as we prepare to celebrate his birth next week. MeRrY ChRiStMaS!!!
